Pengalaman Bersama Radiohead: KID A

PENGALAMAN BERSAMA RADIOHEAD’S KID A (Bahagian 3 dari 6)

Selepas graduate, aku menganggur selama setahun. Kerja apa yang boleh on and off. Ketika itu aku hanya tunggu Seinfeld setiap Rabu. Itu sahaja yang aku tahu., That’s the highlight of the weeks, of the day of the month.

Aku dah lupa bagaimana aku mula mendengar KID A secara penuh. A lack of emotion berbadning album sebelumnya. Tak sama lansung macam. The whole album is tyoo minimal. Man how I was wrong.

Yes it took time for a regular Radiohead fan to accept Kid A. mula mendengar Kid A melalui .
Experimental . Minimalist. Tapi somehow mudah dihadam oleh peminat setianya (kecuali aku).

Kalau OK Comnp dan The Bends ada high and low, Kid A hampir static. Tetapi masih ada masanya ianya menggegarkan. Kalau Ok Cpmp is a soundtrackt for a modern life, Kid A pula ada lah soundtrack untuk dunia yang tida horizontal. Thom Yorke menyanyi terlalu sempurna-seakan-akan dia robot. Robot yang tak ada perasaan.

Kid A sebenarnya akan jadi lebih make sense kalau kita tahu jalan ceritanya. Yes the whole album is a concept. Much morew detail and( tapi sudah tentulah masih tak dapat menyaingi Dark Side of The Moon.
Now it all makes more sense. Now it all much more clearer to me.

Kid A gain a new fan for Radiohead. On the same par with .
But with Kid A they make a respectable records.
KID a is a hard to get into records. Not easy to embrace on first listening.
. It’s a wise decision cause Probably because they know they cant top Ok Comp or The Bends or make another Creep

Ianya bukanlah album yang mudah untuk dibuat. They try 100s song to fit into the album but most didn’t make it.

Minimalist. Sophisticated. Clean sounding. Lack of emotion-the thing of which i love so much about Radiohead.U really have to know the story to know what its all about, to enjoy the album. Its not easy to listen either but i have to be very optimistic cause all the songs, seems like everything in its right place. takes time for it to grows on you. And now i cant stop playing it. Thom sings as if he wants to be a robot, a machine, a ghost sometimes. Not a fun album.Perhaps radiohead's most serious album. Is this a work of a genius? I dunno. I just cant stop playing it.When i reach home after days job, i think this album first to be played at home and the first one too at the morning bell.W. Axl Rose likes this album so much he danced salsa to the tune of National Anthem in limbo......just kidding, and thats what this album's been missing. humour. But who needs humour when the centre story is about a genetic (?) kid A.I wish i could stop playing this but i just cant make it dissapear completely. But dont be an idiotique, listen to this on headphone if u cant 'get' it.This could be your own soundtrack of your own life's motion picture.

I dont mention the Tressfinger cause i'm not sure if I really like that song.

well anyway, what else can I say... KID A is a great record. You'll be surpirse how u going to be addicted to it once you 'get ' it.

Downword Spiral is one of a landmark album in the 90s..trent reznor is as important as Kurt Cobain....

tapi NIN ni cuba tanya Moloko...dia lgi expert pasal NIN..some of their new album susah nak dpt kat kedai CD...
